About Us

University College of Engineering, Anna University – Ariyalur was established as per the Govt Order: Ms. No 396 Higher Education (J-2) Department dated 26.09.2008 with the aim to provide quality Engineering education to the students from the backward districts and various parts of Tamil Nadu. The Institution is located at Vilangudi (Trichy – Chidambaram NH81) 20kms away from the Ariyalur city and the institution is spread over 25 acres. The campus was started during the academic year 2008 – 2009 to offer B.E Degree courses in the branches of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering & Electronics and Communication Engineering with an intake of 60 students in each branch. In the next academic year 2009 – 2010 an additional course in B.E Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started. For the academic year 2010 – 2011, B.E Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with the medium of instruction in Tamil was started.

To attain excellence in pedagogy, and provide potential skills in the areas of Humanities and Sciences. To impart flexible, responsive and innovative educational opportunities and to cultivate interest in the young minds to pursue research in emerging areas of Science and Technology.

A 'Pass' in recognized bachelor's degree obtaining atleast 50% of the qualifying examination (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) Candidates who pass in the qualifying degree course will appear for TANCET Exam

For M.E the eligibility qualifications are:
