A rapidly changing world is one of the biggest challenges facing today’s graduates. New technologies, new working practices and changes in tastes and fashions require graduates who are equipped with flexible attitudes. AEC provides students to meet with such skills to succeed. AEC, a Co-Educational institution was established in the year 1993. The college is spread out on serene sylvan settings on the Chittoor – Cuddalore national highway, providing a holistic environment, ideal for dedicated study with discipline, away from the hustle and bustle of the modern cities. The serene spiritual atmosphere at AEC helps an individual to discover himself and the contribution he can make to the world.
We, at Arunai Engineering College, will enlighten the hidden technical skills and abilities of youth with highest quality technical education and proper discipline. Today, the institution has grown immensely and magnificently with several buildings spanning an academic area of 25000 sq.m., hostels 14000 sq.m., amenities 46,000 sq.m., and playgrounds of 20,500 sq.m., The institution has students strength of 2492 as on today.
The college offers Twelve Under Graduate Engineering programs and six Post Graduate programs. Convinced by the infrastructure facilities and impressed by the standards of the Faculty, National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of AICTE, New Delhi had awarded and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)

Transport
The College has adequate buses which are made available to the students and the faculty members for commuting from various points in the town and also from the various towns like Gingee, Dinidivanam, Vellore, Chengam, Mel Chengam, Villupuram, Arani, Tirukovilur, Avalurpettai, Polur, Moongilthuraipattu, Mothakal,Vaippur to the campus and back. All students should make use of the college transport or should stay in the hostel. This facility has made it possible to start the classes in time and thereby helping the academic process. Our bus facilities have enabled us to maintain discipline among students.
All the buses reach the Campus before 8.05a.m., so that all the students and faculty can have their breakfast and get ready to attend the classes at 8.30a.m.
The buses leave the campus at 5.00p.m., which helps all the students to reach home early and safely.
For the benefit of those students who are attending special classes, using Internet facility, Library etc., special buses are arranged everyday which leave the campus at 5.45p.m.

Training & Placement Cell
The range of careers open to the graduates is an ever widening one, with employers seeking capable, articulate and well motivated graduates who can make an effective contribution to their organization. The Training and Placement Cell helps all the students by providing a wide range of career- related events. Students are encouraged to use the service from early in their course of study, that will match their skills and aspirations. Our students are placed in many leading companies like TCS, CTS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies, CSC, Honeywell, L&T InfoTech, Larsen & Toubro etc.,
The college is committed in preparing students for an emerging and changing business scenario. Students are provided with experience that will not only equip them with the knowledge, skills and abilities for a future career, but also a practical professional experience through the in-plant training, workshop and various seminars.
In this era of technological advancement, the education a student receives must be focused towards the needs and requirement of the Industry. To achieve this, our College has become a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry. Southern Chapter and Center for University Industry Collaboration, Anna University. The center helps us to contact various organizations both public and private sector and promotes Industry - institute interaction.
