Annapoorana Engineering College (AEC) was instituted in the academic year 2009 – 2010, with the Approval of Government of Tamil Nadu and AICTE, New Delhi. Pursuing the philosophy of continuous learning, the Institution prepares the students to score creditably in the Academic sessions and also encourages them to develop their interpersonal and intrapersonal skills and attitudes to approach life with confidence.

Annapoorana Engineering College (AEC) was promoted by the famous Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal Medical Educational and Charitable Trust (TKVTSSMEC Trust) in the year 2010. The trust is a pioneer in offering higher education for over 3 decades in the fields of Medicine, Engineering, Dental, Pharmacy, Nursing, etc. It is always striving to impart quality education to all the students by providing state of art facilities, good academic ambience and opportunities to interact with Top Academicians / Professionals and right motivation to take part in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, thereby enabling them to develop deeply into the aspects of modern technology.

A 'Pass' in recognized bachelor's degree obtaining atleast 50% of the qualifying examination (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) Candidates who pass in the qualifying degree course will appear for TANCET Exam

For M.E the eligibility qualifications are:
10+2+3 years pattern (or)
10 + 3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern (or)
