Bharath Niketan Engineering College (BNEC) is an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Engineering College, Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and is Approved by AICTE. It was established in the year 1998, by Nehru Rural Development Education Trust with an objective of imparting quality technical education for the rural community.
Under the able leadership of Sri. S.Mohan, Managing Chairman and a leading Industrialist of Theni District, Tamilnadu, India, BNEC Institution provides stimulating environment for intellectual development, freethinking and personal growth. Students are provided with ample learning opportunities for equipping themselves with the technical skills, insights and practical experiences necessary to take up positions of responsibilities in real life.

Government of Tamil Nadu makes admissions to B.E. / B.Tech. Courses of all the affiliated colleges through a common merit list of candidates administered by Anna University, Chennai. Further details on this would be available from T.N. government advertisements in newspapers and at www.annauniv.edu following the publication of results for higher secondary examinations.
Post Graduate Programs:
Admissions to all P.G. courses (M.E, MBA, MCA etc.,) in all affiliated colleges are made by Government of Tamil Nadu through TANCET (Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test) administered by Anna University, Chennai. Further details on this are available at www.annauniv.edu/tancet2013.

A full fledged transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places. The service is offered ensuring a hassle free and safe transportation.
The college runs, 22 buses for providing transport facility for students from various places Madurai, Thirumangalam, Peraiyur, Theni, Periyakulam, Bathalagundu, Rasingapuram (BODI), Thevaram, V.C.Puram and Cumbum.
