Admission

S.R.M Institute Of Science And Technology Admission to the flagship Engineering and Management courses at SRM University is determined by the scores obtained in SRMJEEE and SRMJEEM, respectively. For UG and PG Medical courses, candidates at SRM Chennai are selected based on their performance in the SRMJEEH examination conducted by the university.
SRMIST Chennai considers national qualifying examinations such as CAT, GMAT, CMAT, or state-level TANCET for admission. The university also extends admission to UG, PG, and Super-Speciality medical courses, relying on NEET UG, NEET PG, and NEET SS scores, respectively.
Prospective students can complete the SRM University application form either online or offline through the official university website. The final admission decision is based on merit in the entrance test and the rank obtained in the qualifying examination, followed by the counseling process.

S.R.M Institute Of Science And Technology Chennai encompasses various colleges and schools, each offering distinct placement cell options. In addition to job placements, the placement cell also arranges internship opportunities for students, and some students receive Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). Notably, within the Department of Electronics Instrumentation Engineering, an impressive 72.22% of students secured placements.
