St. Joseph College of Engineering, established in 1994, is a private institute located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is under the administration of Jeppiar Educational Trust. St. Joseph’s College of Engineering is having 29 years of successful academic reputation offering 11 UG programs (BE/B.Tech) and 7 PG programs (ME/M.Tech and MBA) with a current total intake of more than 1570 students per year. The college is affiliated to Anna University, approved by AICTE and accredited by NBA and NAAC. Admissions to all courses are entrance based. Admissions to the UG courses are based on TNEA counselling whereas admissions to the PG courses are based on TANCET entrance exam.
Admission
Admission Process SJCE offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and technology. It also offers an MBA and integrated MBA. The basic eligibility criteria for UG courses is to have passed 10+2 and the basic eligibility criteria for PG courses is to have a bachelor’s degree.
• Admission to the B.E/B.Tech. programs are granted based on the candidate's performance in 10+2 followed by TNEA counseling.
• Admission to the M.Tech. program is based on the candidate's performance in TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) or GATE. Admission to the MBA program is granted based on the score secured in CAT or TANCET followed by a GD and PI round.
• The institute conducts its registration process in an offline mode, thus, the candidates have to acquire the application forms from the institute itself.
• The college is accredited by NAAC with an 'A' Grade. The institute is recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization by DSIR and DST Govt. of India. National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by MHRD, Govt. of India has ranked SJCE among the top 100 Institutions in India with a rank of 97 in the year 2017, in the band of 101 to 150 in 2018, and 128th rank in 2019.
