About Us 
The Velammal Educational Trust is a registered non-minority service organization established in the year 1986 by Thiru. M.V. Muthuramalingam to inculcate among the youth a sense of discipline which is important to mould them into useful and capable citizens. The watch words of the Trust are “Dedication, Determination and Distinction”.

Velammal Engineering College was established in the year 1995-96 to impart quality education. It is a self financing non-minority institution, affiliated to Anna University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and also an ISO certified institution.

    For students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and other communities, with an income limit of less than 2 lakh
  • Department of Minorities Welfare
    For Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain, and Buddhist students, with an income limit of less than 1 lakh
  • Ministry of Labour & Employment
    For children of beedi, cine, or mineworkers
  • NAT
    Students receive a scholarship on tuition fees based on their performance in the NAT. Students who receive a 10% concession on tuition fees for being female or the child of a school teacher also receive an additional scholarship
