About Us

DMI Engineering College is a Christian Minority Technical Educational Institution, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college is promoted and managed by the Sisters of DMI, which was founded in the year 2009 by Rev. Fr. Dr.J.E.Arul Raj. The society manages several educational, technical, health, welfare and social development institutions. Our mission is to produce creative and technically strong engineers and to research pioneering solutions to global challenges. We do this with an unprecedented commitment to integrating across engineering, sciences, arts, business and other disciplines to yield transformative results.

Transport

The DMI College buses are available to the students and staff for commuting not only from various parts of the city but also from the suburbs to the College campus and back. All students can make use of the college transport. This student friendly facility has made it possible to begin the classes in time and thereby helping the academic process continue seamlessly. This has also enabled the College to drive home the importance of punctuality and discipline among students.

DMIEC is having its own transport section which takes care of the transport of the staff and students. They are plying almost in all the main routes of the city.

Placement

Our Training and Placement Cell offers comprehensive training in life planning, soft skills, and aptitude. We host guest lectures and seminars by HR professionals, encouraging employability skills. We organize seminars on higher studies opportunities, both in India and abroad. We maintain strong ties with companies, hosting on-campus placement drives for IT and core sectors. Our support extends beyond, helping students pursue their dream jobs and participate in off-campus drives. Students gain practical experience through internships and industrial visits. Our faculty, including the Principal and Training & Placement Officer, actively engage in HR summits and workshops, ensuring students are well-prepared for their careers.
